The Solar Electric Power Association and the Solar Energy Industries Association announce the opening of registration for Solar Power 2008. The event will take place October 13-16 at the San Diego Convention Center and is expected to attract a record 12,000 professionals from more than 70 countries and 400 exhibitors from 14 countries. Oncor announces the 2008 tour schedule for the Take A Load Off, Texas campaign, a series of local events across the Oncor service area designed to educate residential customers about energy efficiency. The Take A Load Off, Texas tour, capitalizing on a successful four-city launch in 2007, will feature the Take A Load Off, Texas van and interactive demonstrations illustrating the benefits of installing energy-efficient technologies and materials to reduce energy use. Toyota is bringing its nationwide tour called "Highway to the Future: Mobile Hybrid Experience," to the Better Living Show in Portland, Oregon March 28 - 30. The tour is designed to provide consumers with a firsthand opportunity to experience automotive hybrid technology and learn what they can do to make a difference in the environment.

The tour will stop at numerous public events nationwide in 2008 and consists of three simultaneously traveling exhibits. Consumers will have an opportunity to learn about hybrid technology through a number of interactive, educational stations and test drive Toyota's Prius, Camry Hybrid or Highlander Hybrid.

Highway to the Future: Mobile Hybrid Experience serves as an interactive mobile exhibit to the environment and alternative fuels. The exhibit will be located inside the Portland Expo Center in Portland, Oregon:

Producers of The Energy Trust Better Living Home, Garden & Lifestyle Show (Better Living Show) are working with Portland Fashion Week Productions to host an eco-fashion panel discussion and installation fashion show at the largest sustainable lifestyle show in the Northwest.

On Saturday, March 29, members of the global eco-fashion community will gather at the Portland Expo Center to discuss environmentally responsible design and manufacturing processes. Attendees of the Better Living Show, which is free to the public, are encouraged to attend the event to learn how Portland is leading the international fashion community in its quest to go green.
