Leann Rimes Teams with Detergent Maker to Find Greenest School

flower.gifAmerica's children are often on the cutting edge of the movement to protect the environment and can have a huge impact on the future of our planet. That is why music superstar, LeAnn Rimes, has teamed up with America's leading 3x concentrated laundry detergent, 'all' small & mighty to search for the greenest elementary school kids in America. She is encouraging young students to become mini-environmentalists and help their families make easy changes at home, including switching to eco-friendly products.

LeAnn Rimes knows that you don't have to be big to make a mighty difference which is why she is joining 'all' small & mighty in its "Go Green & Small with 'all'" program. Families interested in "going green" can complete their very own Eco-Report Cards to track how their family's efforts are helping to protect the environment. Kids can also share their personal Eco-Stories and photos online, while teachers can download grade-appropriate lesson plans and curricula to extend the eco-message into the classroom.

The winning elementary school will receive a $50,000 grant towards green improvements like an eco-friendly playground. Every student in the winning school will receive a green iPod shuffle with an environmentally friendly solar charger. Although these students may already be stars of their households, they will also have a chance to be featured on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show." In addition, nine other finalist schools will each win $5,000 to green their school. Entries are due by November 26; finalists and winners will be announced on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" in January*.

Making the (Green) Grade
Elementary school kids are often on the front lines of today's movement to protect and preserve the environment. Their support can help to motivate their families to make necessary changes towards sustainability.

What small things can families do to make a big impact on the environment? 'all' small & mighty offers simple steps to help make families more environmentally-conscious in every room of the house:

In the laundry room...
Downsize your detergent! Trade in your regular laundry detergent for 'all' small & mighty 3x concentrated detergent to get clothes clean. It comes in a mini bottle that uses 50 percent less plastic than our regular 100-ounce bottle of detergent. Our smaller bottles mean less fuel used in transport, too!

In the kitchen...
Switch from paper to cloth dishtowels. Dishtowels are washable and reusable, making them an eco-friendly alternative to paper towels.

In living areas...
Buy energy efficient bulbs! Switch to energy efficient light bulbs that give off the same amount of light, but run on a third of the power.
