Eco Gift Shopping for the Family! The
Eco Gift Festival
presented by Tommy Rosen and the LA Times takes place December 12-14 at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium. Eco Gift showcases 150+ vendors with earth-friendly gifts, 15 eclectic musical performances, a Children’s Stage and a Speaker Series featuring Arianna Huffington, Michael Brune (Executive Director, Rainforest Action Network), Mallika Chopra, Josh Tickell (award-winning filmmaker, "Fuel,") Eco Designer Linda Loudermilk and much more.
Tommy Rosen set out to create a One Stop Shopping Extravaganza and Eco Gift delivers. A stress-free holiday Eco shopping experience in a festival-like setting, it is unlike any other in the country. “We spend each year seeking out those companies that are the very best in class in terms of quality and sophistication, who also are committed to the well-being of people and the environment,” said Tommy Rosen, Founder of Eco Gift.
Eco Gift Festival provides attendees with access to the products of environmentally conscious companies from a diverse collection of industries such as Home and Garden, Health and Wellness, Bath and Body, Conscious Media, Jewelry, Cosmetics, Children’s Toys and Games, Athletic Apparel, Eco-Fashion, and Yoga merchandise. The company proudly holds this event to the highest standards of sustainability, employing green event experts, to ensure their greening efforts remain at the cutting-edge.
*Eco Gift will expand to multiple markets in the United States and internationally in 2009.
GREENING INITIATIVES FOR ECO GIFT FESTIVAL 2008:
Eco Gift Festival 2008 has the goal of achieving a 'zero waste' event.
Event signage is made with recyclable, reusable or biodegradable materials.
Event collateral is printed on a “green printer” with vegetable-based inks and recyclable paper.
Food sold at the event will be packaged in biodegradable, compostable food ware, and biodegradable cornstarch or potato plates and utensils are mandated.
Implementation of a carbon offsetting program will reduce emissions generated by equipment, heating/cooling, shipping and electricity.
Complimentary purified water provided on-site will be served in biodegradable cups to eliminate plastic water bottles.

DATES: Friday, December 12, Saturday, December 13 - 10:00am-8:00pm
Sunday, December 14 - 11am-7pm.

*Tickets are $10 per day/$20 per week-end pass; Free for children under 12 - Seniors over 65.
* 10% of the profits from the show will be donated to select Los Angeles charities, including GLOBAL GREEN USA.
